Frequently Asked Questions

Netwealth offers several account types, including Stocks & Shares ISAs, Junior ISAs, Personal Pensions, and General Investment Accounts. You can also set up Junior General Investment Accounts (Bare Trust) and company or trust accounts

Yes, the minimum investment to open a Netwealth account is £50,000. However, lower minimums are available through the Netwealth Network, where combined family contributions can reduce individual thresholds.

We charge an all-in annual fee based on the total portfolio value. The fee rates range from 0.70% for investments between £50,000–£249,999 to 0.40% for portfolios exceeding £1 million. Additional fees may apply if you choose financial advice or other specific services.

You can fund your account through bank transfers (Faster Payments, BACS, or CHAPS) or set up regular contributions via Direct Debit. All payment instructions can be found in your account's "Add/Withdrawal" section.

You can withdraw from your Netwealth ISA or General Investment Account anytime, though note that the Netwealth ISA is not flexible, meaning your withdrawn funds will still count against your annual allowance. Withdrawals generally take 5-6 business days to settle.

Netwealth offers financial advice for an additional fee. However, the advice is "restricted," meaning it is limited to Netwealth’s services and products.

You can create multiple portfolios across your accounts, with a minimum of £5,000 per portfolio. The only exception is for Junior ISAs, where the minimum is £1,000, and only one portfolio per child is allowed.

Our portfolios are predominantly invested in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), open-ended investment companies (OEICs), Unit Trusts, and direct holdings in Gilts (UK government bonds).

These investments are chosen to diversify your portfolio across asset classes and regions while maintaining cost-efficiency.

The Netwealth Network allows families and friends to pool resources while maintaining separate portfolios. This can reduce individual minimum investment requirements and allow everyone to benefit from lower fees and shared insights.
